Originally worked for the background of a soon-to-be Workers Buyout Conference. I wanted to go as wild as Jackson (Pollock) to create it. With a lot of swoosh and sweesh !
Though, truly, I was actually very soft and gentle in creating the first two layers of this poster. First, because, I like to reflect on composition. Also, because I was challenging myself with trying to use only the colours at hand ! No mixings, no half-tones and pastel hues!
And off I went, with my large and my small, and my medium and very tiny paintbrushes! Creating small and large elements. Carefully, one by one, colour after colour.
I then edited the overall digitally, so I could express the confusion the law currently holds on the matter of Worker Buyouts, while trying to illustrate the clarification which the conference will provide, by adjusting the opacity and contrast levels.
And so was born, this very vibrant poster: _No Name 1_ Which I instantly loved!!
Uncertain it will fulfils its duties as a background poster, I went away and printed ten A4 and ten A3. Would it not look perfect in your entryway? Or add that je ne sais quoi above your sofa? Maybe bring some colour to your kitchen? Or finally add something to look at in the loo?!?
